Time & Everyday Calculators

Use simple date-based tools for everyday calculations such as exact age and time between dates.

Work with dates and calendar age

Enter the dates carefully and confirm which reference date you want to use. Calendar-based age and elapsed-time calculations are different from simply dividing a total number of days by 365.

  • Enter the date of birth and the reference date to calculate age in years, months, and days as of that date.
  • Use the next-birthday result to see how much time remains before the next birthday relative to the chosen reference date.
  • Remember that months have different lengths and leap years add a calendar day. For exact calendar age, use the calendar-based result rather than a rough day-count conversion.
  • For forms, eligibility, or legal deadlines, verify the applicable rules and official records instead of relying only on a general-purpose calculator.

Example: interpret a calendar-age result

If you need your age on a date in the past, use that date as the reference date rather than today. The result then answers “How old was I on that date?” instead of “How old am I now?”
